The Philadelphia Flower Show is the largest indoor flower show in the world and one of the oldest in the country. This year the theme is "Passport to the World" a journey around the globe with stops in India, Brazil, the Netherlands, South Africa, New Zealand and Singapore. As always there are thousands of plant and floral design entries of local enthusiasts in hundreds of categories. And as always the horticultural dishonesty of the displays drives me mad. So many award-winners featured red knock-out roses with pink and white azaleas, yellow daffodils, sky blue delphiniums, daisies and hostas. Acid and alkaline loving plants, full sun and full shade, early spring and late summer all jostling together in a fantasy plot.
